# Reset M5 plus to factory and reconnect to crosschx

I have M5 plus which I use for simple door access with RFID cards only and have totally accidentally trashed my laptop without backup of the mdb. How can I reset to factory default and start again connecting as a new unit with Crosschx. I am happy to lose all the data and re register all the users. Thanks

Hi @jsanchez800101,

The simplest way is to connect the M5Plus to the LAN and enter the device web interface.  
There you can delete all users and after that you can make an initialization (Advanced Setup menu).
