CrossChex Cannot connect to the TA Machine

Hi All,

I’ ve just installed CrossChex Standard and connected to our A350.

When I try to associate a user to a Card , I place the card on the reader and click on “card” but the system returns can not connect to the TA machine.

Can you pleae help us on this?

Thanks a lot in advance.

Hi @Poggiarelli,

First check the network settings (IP address and gateway) in A350: Ethernet (wired) or Wi-Fi but enable only one of them. If the IP address and gateway are correct and the network icon (wired/wireless) appears at the right upper corner of the device display then check the firewall settings on your PC and router. The port number 5010 cannot be blocked: change firewall settings to enable communication using port 5010. After finished start a “Synchronise time” command in CrossChex. If it’s successful the device icon will turn to blue showing the connection between the PC and the device is established.

Hi Tibor,

Thanks for your answer.

A350 is online and reachable from my Cosschex istance also on port 5010.

Same subnet

Any hint?

Thanks a lot

Carlo

Hi Carlo,

So, your problem isn’t the communication but registering/accepting a card.

If you’re using EM cards which serial number is usually printed on card select the employee and click on “Modify”. Enter the card serial in “Card No.” field (only the last 7-8 characters without zeros) and click “Save”. Next click on “Authorize” select the desired device and click on “Update privilege” button. After that the card will be accepted by the device.

Hi,

Thanks a lot

Is there a way to capture the card ID presented to the reader?

Just a hint more … I registered a fingerprint for that user but evreytime I try to put the finger on the reader it always says “retry”

Hi,

You can capture the card number using the device: enter the menu, select “User” then select “Add” or “Modify” button. Now, if you present the card the device will read it and shows the card number in the “Card” field. Write the number on a paper and present the next card and so on…
